to launch my very first blog! I have been star-struck for years by all the amazing teacher blogs out there
and I decided there is no reason in the world
I can’t blog too. As part of this
amazing community of planetary

I am a
second grade teacher in Texas. I have
been teaching for 19 years and I have been fortunate enough to teach grades
kindergarten through second grade self-contained and kindergarten through sixth
grade as a Reading Specialist. Even
though I have been teaching for a while now, I still get excited about
teaching. If you’re like me, your head
is always swimming with ideas galore. So
come back to visit my blog often to see what new stuff I am sharing.
This past
year I tried out some parts of the Whole Brain Teaching method. I implemented the Class Yes, Mirror, and
Teach Ok. I loved these techniques so
much that this year I plan on adopting the full program. You’ll have to check back with my blog to see
how things are going, but for now I thought I would share the classroom signs I

tell, my theme this year is going to be Rock STARS! I think the kids are going to love it.
